ABOUT
Hello, I am Lisa (Marie Payne). I am the real life actual human being behind House of Payne.
After spending a decade as a Textile Designer, think wallpaper and bedding. It was time to take the self-employed leap. Going freelance gave me more time flexibility and I was able to start experimenting with my own ventures.
Splashing paint around, creating a series of bold abstract art prints, purely for the joy of it, HOP was born. Abstracts evolved into quotes, kids prints amongst many other themes. All brought together by my love of bright colours, a hand painted quality and a need to feel good and make you feel good too.

Another venture I explored is Life Drawing. Life Drawing with HOP is a mindful, relaxing, arty social, that brings together an incredible creative community. Again, with a focus of finding and spreading a little bit of happiness. Socials run in and around Manchester and Liverpool in a variety of different locations.

Being kind to our planet is always at the forefront of my mind. Riso prints are as Eco friendly as printing gets, printed on 100% recycled paper with soy based inks. Giclee prints are super high quality, printed on archival paper with pigment inks. Even though Giclee print process isn't as eco friendly as Riso the are printed to order and therefore have minimal waste. All prints are packaged in recycled or biodegradable materials.
